Job Title: Financial Specialist
Rate Type: Hourly
Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Financial Specialist to join our disability home care team. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing all financial aspects of our operations, including budgeting, financial reporting, billing, and reimbursement. Your expertise will be instrumental in ensuring the financial health and sustainability of our organization.

Responsibilities:
1. Develop and maintain financial policies, procedures, and controls to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and best practices.
2. Prepare and monitor annual budgets, forecasts, and financial plans, identifying variances and recommending corrective actions as needed.
3. Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, including billing clients, processing payments, and reconciling accounts.
4. Coordinate with insurance providers, government agencies, and funding sources to maximize reimbursement and minimize denials.
5. Prepare accurate and timely financial reports and analyses for management, board of directors, and external stakeholders.
6. Conduct financial audits and internal reviews to assess compliance with financial policies and identify areas for improvement.
7. Provide financial guidance and support to department heads and program managers, assisting with budget development and monitoring.
8. Stay current on regulatory changes, industry trends, and best practices in financial management for disability home care services.

Requirements:
1. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field; Master’s degree preferred.
2. Minimum of 5 years of experience in financial management or accounting, with a focus on healthcare or disability services.
3. Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial analysis, and budgeting techniques.
4. Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP) and Microsoft Excel.
5. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret financial data and make strategic recommendations.
6. Detail-oriented and organized, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively.
7. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with diverse stakeholders.
8. Familiarity with Medicaid, Medicare, and other healthcare reimbursement systems preferred.
