Job Title:House Manager

Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced House Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of our disability home care facility. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring a safe, supportive, and nurturing environment for individuals with disabilities. Your leadership and organizational skills will be essential in maintaining high standards of care and enhancing the quality of life for our residents.
Responsibilities:
1. Supervise and support a team of direct support professionals (DSPs) in providing care and assistance to individuals with disabilities.
2. Coordinate and schedule staff assignments, ensuring adequate coverage and compliance with regulatory requirements.
3. Oversee the implementation of individualized care plans and ensure that residents’ needs and preferences are met.
4. Monitor the cleanliness, safety, and maintenance of the facility, including living areas, common areas, and outdoor spaces.
5. Manage household budgets, expenses, and procurement of supplies and equipment as needed.
6. Serve as a liaison between residents, their families, and interdisciplinary teams, addressing concerns and coordinating services as necessary.
7. Conduct regular assessments of residents’ progress and well-being, collaborating with healthcare professionals to adjust care plans as needed.
8. Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations, including licensing requirements and safety standards.
Requirements:
1. Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Human Services, or related field preferred.
2. Minimum of 5 years of experience in a leadership role in disability home care or a similar setting.
3. Strong knowledge of disability rights, person-centered planning, and best practices in care delivery.
4. Demonstrated leadership and supervisory skills, with the ability to motivate and empower staff.
5. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with residents, staff, and stakeholders.
6. Detail-oriented and organized, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively.
7. Flexibility to adapt to changing resident needs and schedules.
8. CPR and First Aid certification preferred.
